Privacy Policy

Links ("we", "us", "our") operates the Links iOS application and the website at joinlinks.net (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, handle, profile photo, and (optional) handicap and home course, provided during sign-up and onboarding.
- LinkedIn profile URL — required during onboarding so other Links members can verify who they're playing with. We store the URL only; we don't pull additional data from your LinkedIn account.
- Authentication data — handled by our auth provider, Clerk. Clerk processes your sign-in credentials and OAuth tokens (Google, Apple, LinkedIn).
- Content you post — rounds you submit (score, course, date, photos, video), course rankings, comments, likes, direct messages, and tee times you create or join.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information (device type, OS version, app version, crash reports) used to keep the app working.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To match you with other golfers, tee times, and courses.
- To send notifications about your account, rounds, and activity.
- To prevent abuse and respond to support requests.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we need to operate Links:
- Supabase — stores your account, rounds, rankings, messages.
- Clerk — handles authentication and OAuth (including LinkedIn verification).
- Apple — App Store, TestFlight, and push notifications.
Booking partners
When you tap a booking link inside a tee time, Links opens the partner's site (e.g. GolfNow) in your device's browser. The partner handles the booking and their own privacy policy applies once you leave Links.
Your rights
- Access and edit — view and update your profile from the Profile tab.
- Delete — you can delete your account from the Settings screen at any time. This removes your profile and all your content (rounds, rankings, messages) from our servers.
- Block and report — block any user from their profile sheet. Report content directly from the post or message.
Children
Links is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We'll notify users of material changes inside the app.
